Head Chef · nomaI was born and raised in Singapore, but have spent most of my professional career abroad. Primarily in NYC and now Copenhagen. When I am not working, I enjoy long bike rides and walks with my dog.
Silberbauers Bistro
Mathias is an amazing chef and on top of that he doubles as this establishment's congenial host. Provençal fare in a neighbourhood setting with a wine list that has quite a few hidden gems if you know where to look. If I could, I would be there constantly, indulging on a perfectly cooked steak and a hearty bottle of wine.
Barr
Thorsten and co. make incredibly delicious food. I have never had anything but a great meal there. The schnitzel is a crowd favourite, and their larger servings are always comforting yet innovative at the same time.
Jah Izakaya
Simple and delicious, the perfect spot for a meal on your day off. Reggae is always spinning and the sake is exquisite.
Surt
Peppe makes perhaps the best pizza I have ever had in recent memory. It is the perfect combination of technique and ingredients presented in one of the most widely appreciated genres of food. A couple of pies and a bottle of Alessandro Viola, and you will have a superb night cued up.
Duck and Cover
When it comes to cocktails, I usually stay within the realms of more classical styles of libations. Think Old Fashions, a Martinez, a 50/50 Martini etc. All of which I have had there, prepared to an impressively exacting standard.
