Living in Copenhagen, we are used to cold weather, windy and dark days. When that happens, the place to feel energized again is Slurp. The Ramen feels like a warm hug, feels like home (no matter where you are from). Just makes everything better and happy.
When I think a place to go for dinner, one of the first that come to my mind is Baest. The garlic bread with lardo and Ramson capers, the Nduja pizza, the burrata, Charcutarie, and the list go on. It’s so simple that it’s so unbelievably good. With the open kitchen you can always have a closer peak to what is going on. A great place to start your evening.
I might look suspicious about this one because I used to work there a few years ago. But even now I still love going there. The vibe, the food, the coffee, the people, everything combined makes this place very humble, friendly, and fun to be at. Always ask what is special on that day, so you can get something that you are not expecting.
Located hidden from the main streets and tugged in/connect to the Frama shop, Apotek 57 creates a mandatory stop when in the city center and when in need to some delicious food. They make their pastries, bread, waffles, among other things. The vibe is happy, friendly and always pushing the standard. It just feels like you are on the living room of your home, it’s often that the times goes by without you notice. That’s when you know that you are on the right place :)
The home feel mixed with the industrial vibe makes it a great place to start the day. On warmer days its the place to go when going for a bite before taking a swim. The outside seating and the communal tables helps creating a “community” while you are there. It makes you to connect, talk, laugh and just enjoy the fast pace of the kitchen.
