Hi, I’m Line! I escaped the fjords and rain of Bergen, Norway in 2016 when I first moved to Copenhagen. Once I thought I would be a music industry buffoon (so I became a music manager), then I thought I would be a shipping magnate (so I studied business administration) but I finally realised that my passion for great food and wine and the people working with it was much more interesting. I have worked in the hospitality industry on and off for 14 years, and I still love the thrill of tasting something for the first time!

What can I say – when I quit working there I instantly became a regular. These people are not just great friends of mine, they’re also exceptional at their jobs. You can expect honest, delicious food, low intervention wines, and the best hosts in the city. I love this place.

A dinosaur bodega, a safe haven, a brown oasis – call it what you want. Ruth took over café Nick 27 years ago and has not lost her excellent host skills along the way. I love going there for an ice-cold Tuborg Classic and eavesdrop on the old artists and painters talking amongst themselves. Salt pretzels are always on the house, and hard cash is the only way to pay. (My apologies to Mads and Maurice that showed me this place — I know it’s a secret, but I think it’s time to let the world in on it).

There’s a lot of cool wine shops around town, but R&R are the OG’s and no one can beat them on price. In the summertime, you will very likely find me under the bridge swimming and drinking a nice bottle from their extraordinary cellar.

Everyone who knows me well knows that this is my go-to Thai place. It’s a hole in the wall in Vesterbro, very close to where I used to live, run by the sweetest family. I had serious second thoughts about moving to NV, as that meant I couldn’t have my weekly dose of DD Thai. Order the #8 with chicken, extra spicy, and say hello from me.
