HI! My name is Joren. I am a chef at Gaarden & Gaden. I am coming from Antwerp, Belgium, and after living for many years in Paris I decided to move to Copenhagen and I have loved every moment of it.
This is my favorite spot in town. Jan and Monica are such good friends and the food and coffee are always amazing. They are cooking the food inspired by their travels around the world and Monica makes great cheesecakes which go so well with the 22 (!!!) hours dripping cold brew.
One of the favorite wine bars in town. They have a great selection of wines by the bottle or the glass at great prices. It's the perfect Sunday afternoon hangout but I also find myself a lot on monday evenings there with some good wine and some of the great assortiments of cheeses and snacks.
It is my go to place when I miss french produce like cheese and charcuterie, they have great pate en croute and you find always something new! Their duck rillettes sandwich together with a Stella Artois beer on draft makes me always a bit homesick.
Kølsters Tolv Haner. Very close to where i live this is my favorite beer bar, it’s a great atmosphere and their beers are great! always the place to go for a quick beer or a long night.
It was my first workplace in Copenhagen and it was a great atmosphere! The wines coming from Rosforth are at a great price and i fell in love with Georgian wine and Dave's cooking is one of the most exciting in town, both his french classics and his take on Georgian food is amazing. ( i think everyone has tried the kachapuri by now)
