Tjena, I'm Philip a.k.a. svensk a.k.a the Swedish chef. I'm the head chef at Dumpo at Sønder Boulevard. Raised in Malmö, but started my Copenhagen chef journey in 2011. Since then I've been around the block and worked at Llama, Gorilla, Bazaar, and Silo amongst others.

» My local rum/tequila/mezcal pusher.This was a hard one to choose. Either Shoppen or Vin de Table (natural wine store at Nordvest). But my (bigger) love for rum and tequila decided it for me. Shoppen is a liquor store located at Ahornsgade at Nørrebro, where you actually can buy smaller bottles of the different spirits you're interested in and try them out before buying the whole bottle. A really good concept, and just lets you try different flavors before deciding on what's actually best for your palate. «

» A new cocktail bar, that opened in Plenum's old location, at Skt. Hans Torv. Behind the bar there are Jonas and Spaniard. I know Jonas from when he used to be the bar manager at TATA, and he just makes really good cocktails. Expect this place to blow up. «

» For those who know me, they know my love for kebab and shawarma. And I've been trying out about 93% of Nørrebro's selection, and I've just come to realize that this place is one of the better ones in my opinion (even the local police appear to think so). They recently renovated the place, so now they make freshly made durum bread to order (like Durumbar, Dürüm Symfoni and Sheik Shawarma). The shawarma's good, the condiments are nice and the chili is actually spicy. «

» A fairly new bakery at Skjolds Plads, at the outskirts of Nørrebro. A typical, good sourdough bakery, but in a neighborhood that's normally not so sourdough-y. Which I hope sets a new trend for the neighborhood. Get their blondie (when they have it), if you're in the mood for something sweet. «
