Slurp
Hey, I am Nik! I often refer to myself as a gastronomic refugee because I moved to Copenhagen to escape the tyranny of bad food and to realise my dream project, Slurp Ramen, which I opened in 2017 together with my buddy Philipp Inreiter. It has been a wild ride since and I am now involved in a bunch of upcoming projects including a restaurant called Stoke in Berlin as well as a farm project in France. But Copenhagen is still home and so I am happy to share my favourite spots around town.

Rufino Osteria

italian, natural wine
chr. havn
» This place is probably on everybody's list but I just had to include it on mine. An industry favorite. After a long, hard week at work, there is nothing more comforting than a plate of the most perfect pasta. Also, the wine list is incredible and there are definitely some gems on there that you won't find anywhere else. My go-to is the carbonara. «

Schønnemann

danish, smørrebrød

» If you are going for Smørrebrød I believe you have to go old school, and Schønnemann is just simply the Headmaster of the old school. My go-to order is egg and shrimp, curried herring, and chicken salad. «

Iluka

dinner, fish, natural wine, oysters, pescatarian, seafood

» It takes a lot of skill to play it so simple. Combine some of the most incredible seafood available with Beau's natural cooking ability and that gamble pays off every time. You should definitely go and eat here and, if available, order the Faroese sea urchins. «

Ốp La

vietnamese
vesterbro
» In a city with very few Asian options, this one is a hidden gem. Vietnamese is my favorite cuisine and this place is definitely legit. I used to go all the way to Sobørg just to eat there but they just opened their Vesterbrogade location and I have been there twice a week ever since. There are so many good things on that menu, but I would recommend the Banh Mi Op La, the Bo La Lot, and the Bun Bo Hue. «

Duck and Cover

cocktails
vesterbro
» My local watering hole and to me, it is the perfect cocktail bar. Unpretentious, with great service and cocktails. Order a classic or try something off their constantly changing seasonal menu. I think you will have to look very hard to get a better drink anywhere else. «
