I am the sous chef at The Caribbean Housewife. I was born in Rome, Italy. Mymother is from Catania, Sicily and my father from Rome. I started cooking since I was little; helping my Sicilian grandmother in the kitchen making classic dishes such as cannoli, caponata, and parmigiana. My cultural background can be traced back to my work as a chef, but I also like to use Asian inspired techniques. I fell in love with Japanese cuisine after my travels to Tokyo. It inspired me to learn techniques and recipes from Japan and cuisine from other Asian countries, such as Korea and Philippines. When I moved to Copenhagen from Rome in 2018, I started working at Bæst and then Mirabelle. In the end, I found my place at The Caribbean Housewife, where Jamain Brigitha’s eclectic approach to food is similar to mine. Working predominantly with vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based recipes is what got my attention and I appreciate that I get the space to create new signature dishes here.

Everything you need to make a proper Korean or Japanese recipe for both amateur and professional chefs. It’s one of our favorite “secret” spots to get hard to find products for our own menu. «

They use only Danish organic products, which are masterfully transformed with the help of a great team. They also import natural wine from small, passionate producers and wineries in Italy. It’s the first restaurant I went to in Copenhagen and it only got better and better. «
