There’s a date that excites the wine world every year: the arrival of Beaujolais nouveau, which now falls on November 16, so this Thursday! The first wine of the year always calls for a celebration, so that’s what we’re gonna do, when the big, 6L Séléné bottle rolls in to Josephine! For this occasion, we invited kæmpe chef Lars Lundø (Geranium, Pony, El Celler de can Roca). He will be serving homemade rillette de porc with cornichons, mustard & grilled bread for starters, and Coq au Vin with carrots, mushrooms, bacon & potato (veggie version available) as a main dish from 6pm. (Order them together for 250,-kr.) There’s no celebration without music: we’ll be joined by local French DJ, MOQST from 6pm! As a dedicated digger & skilled selector, Maxou is showing some extreme versatility in his pool of genre, from obscure, barely known nuggets to some crowd pleasing forgotten gems… He will take you on a colourful journey. When he is not mixing, you can find him behind the counter of Nørrebro’s infamous record shop Paname City Records. Next to the Beaujolais by Séléné (Sylvère Trichard), we’re going to open other nouveau’s too, from Jean Foillard, P’tit Max and Marine Leys. Celebrate the first wine of 2023 with us this Thursday 16/11. No reservations, come thirsty! Vi ses!
