Wasted Potentital
radikal hospitality presents WASTED POTENTIAL: a rescued ingredient dinner, artist talk with Sean Roy Parker, with rescued veggie picklin’ à la Matthew Parker.
during the evening we will explore the concept of waste from both a gastronomic and societal perspective, and consider not only the environmental costs of wasting food, but wasted artistic and societal potential in edible, discarded food.
the evening will take place in three parts: pickling project, artist engagement, and community meal.
the event is by donation and any funds gathered will be used to offset costs and labor for producing the event including: labor to source, gather, and cook rescued foods, artist travel and acomodation, utilities, and gas to transport ingredients.
participants are asked to bring 1 x 200mL jar for a pickling activity during the evening.
the evening will be lead by the radikal hospitality founder @alysparklingbeveridge featuring guest artist @fermental_health with pickling activity and preserves provided by @thecountryteaser and additional support from @eboyf
