Bobby and Sonia, the culinary duo behind Rantao — a project inspired by the Indonesian word for “wandering.”
They’re back in Copenhagen for a one-day pop-up at Pauli Sydhavnen on March 29th.
With a journey spanning the Maldives, Dubai, and Copenhagen, and now based in Berlin, Rantao blends traditional Asian flavors with modern techniques, honoring their roots while embracing global influences.
Through their travels during rantau, they’ve long wanted to share their passion and dedication through a heartfelt dining experience

Starters (to share):
Steamed choi pan, turnip, fjord shrimps, fermented chili
Cured sardines, green sambal relish, ramson, finger lime
Egg tofu, ponzu, herb salad
Fried layered pancake, anchovies, sichuan pepper

Main course:
Lomie noodles, chicken and clams, roast pork

Dessert:
Fried sesame ball, salted egg
Black rice ice cream, peanuts, fig leaf
