Korean country-style & winter seafood table with Haegeen Kim

La Banchina alumna Haegeen will take over our kitchen the 9th, 10th and 11th of January to serve up some delicious Korean food, inspired by the traditions of her family and her home region.

Haegeen – making a real exception in the life of La Banchina – is even bringing in a few original ingredients from Korea. Combining those organic and clean additions with Denmark’s wonderful seafood and winter root vegetables, she would like to present the simple, healthy, clean and rare taste of Korea. Some ingredients are extremely rare even for Koreans, some are popular childhood snacks, and some bare sentimental values from her grandma’s kitchen.

If you’re looking for unfamiliar flavours and are curious about real Korean authenticity, your place is with us on the second weekend of the year.

Menu (subject to smaller changes)
Snacks
– Fermented cod roe on toast
– Country Korean style ceviche with winter roots and seafood
– Pan-fried salted Pollock roe gnocchi

Mains
– Ssam spread, shareable wrap spread with seafood, seaweed, crunchy side dishes, rare fish garum
– Korean new year soup, seafood style duekguk.

Dessert
Toasted barley tea
Chestnut honey ice cream on crepe

Please note that we will need 24 hours prior notice for vegetarian option and other dietaries. No vegan option. We are a small and intimate restaurant, cancellation deadline is 24 hours prior and we require a full No-show fee of 495.
