I’m Joakim - back in the industry after a 10 year break. Thought I’d be a futurist, but realised I’ve built bars at home since age 17. At its best, a bar is a space for new and close friends to explore, share and express ideas through drinks & food. JOJO makes it possible for more people to share that joy.
This place embodies the idea of a third space. Not work, not home, but a place to randomly meet new and old friends. If all you wanted was one beer, watch out. This place tends to keep you busy all night. Also, check out their upcycled interior — pretty dope. Go from the top to the bottom of their drinks menu to try it as it's served in small affordable sizes too.
This place embodies a lifestyle like few other places in Copenhagen. From morning to night you get to see people go about their day, bicycles passing by, skaters or friends hanging out listening to the DJ's records playing. I’d get lots of small dishes and a Paloma.
A Japanese-inspired eatery with great interior design. Go upstairs for a casual Izakaya experience at the bar, to have a few dishes and a chat at the bar with the amazing staff. I’d get a Katsu Sando, Padron Peppers, and Kala’s Kimchi poured down with generous amounts of sake.
You’re in great hands when you go to Donda. It’s a very small intimate space, Latin-inspired food to die for, with a great party vibe. Even the toilets are disco. Get the Hamachi Tostada and a Corny Pisco Sour.
