Hello! My name is Cathrine Østerberg and I'm the founder & ice cream scientist behind Østerberg Ice Cream. I am from Denmark, but I have studied ice cream science in Canada, lived in Vietnam and opened an ice cream shop in Ho Chi Minh City. In general, I just love travelling and exploring the many food cultures out there. It gives me inspiration for new ice cream flavours.

Prolog

I don't drink a lot of coffee (it makes me hyperactive and nobody wants that), but their passion and enthusiasm for coffee really makes me want a cup. It's one of my favorite spots to sit in the sun and "people-watch". Their ice cream sandwiches are amazing (we collaborate on these!).

Hija de Sanchez

Nordhavn. I live close by, and it's my go-to place for tacos. I love their barbacoas. I love their hibiscus drink and I love the atmosphere, as well as the friendly team.

Famo Metro

It's an Italian restaurant, and it provides some of the best Italian food I have ever had. It's not pizza. It's everything else. The team is fantastic; enthusiastic, authentic, and passionate about their cooking. Usually, I just order the menu "Toto decides" (Toto is the head chef, and he knows best).

POPL

I have been lucky enough to try their burger, and it is seriously addictive! It was as if I couldn't stop after one bite. I needed another. And another. Usually, I don't eat a lot of burgers, but there is always an exception to the rule. I go for the cheeseburger with no cheese (I am not kidding. I only eat my dairy products as ice cream!).

Hahnemanns Køkken

It's located at Østerbro, and I love what Trine can come up with. Her bakery products are outstanding and the seating area is one of my favorite spots to sit with a cup of tea and a pumpkin seed croissant and look out the window. It makes my creative thoughts run crazy. A little break on busy days.
