» As a true Dane, I love a traditional Danish lunch. Café Gammeltorv never disappoints me. On Sundays when I'm tired after a long week in the bakery, I go to Gammeltorv to relax. After two pieces of smørrebrød, a large draft beer, and a couple of snaps I am more than ready for a nap. The head-waiters Ann & Flemming always cheer me up and deliver an uncompromising piece of service every time. If I could, I would eat there every day. «

» To me, it’s the most charming of all the old school smørrebrød spots. It’s the perfect lunch, especially if you’re going to roll into the evening! Pickled herring & seabuckthorn, then Fried Plaice filet with remoulade. Mushroom toast if I’m super hungry. Always with a few schnapps and a pint. «
